'Narcos' season 3 news, plot rumors: Props auction begins; Andrea Londo joins cast
The first two seasons of "Narcos" were received well and earned the show a loyal fan following. However, Netflix has yet to announce the release date of the third season. Until then, fans can satiate their "Narcos" needs by bidding for actual props used on the show.
"Prop Store and Gaumont Television present an exclusive online auction event of original costumes, props and production materials used in the television series 'Narcos,'" the description of the online auction reads. More than 200 props and items from the series will be auctioned off through a bidding. The best part is, the items can be shipped to anywhere in the world.
Props range from clothes and jewelry that Wagner Moura wore as Pablo Escobar to other items like the cellphones and wanted posters used. The auction opened yesterday, Nov. 28, and will officially close on Dec. 9. Those interested in bidding must register to participate.
As for season 3 details, with the death of Escobar bringing his storyline to a close last season, the series will now shift its focus on the Cali Cartel. New faces have been brought in to tell the story, and familiar names will return to reprise their roles.
According to Deadline, Andrea Londo has been tapped to play Maria, a former Colombian beauty queen described as "young and beautiful." Apart from that, Maria is also smart and is equipped with survival skills.
Joining Londo are Nicholas Gonzalez, Michael Stahl-David, Matt Whelan, Arturo Castro, and Kerry Bishé. Gonzalez will play an American DEA agent named Lopez, who has extensive experience in the battle against drugs. Stahl-David and Matt Whelan will also play American DEA agents Chris Feistl and Daniel Van Ness, respectively, who are tasked to the drug case in Colombia. Castro will play the son of a Cali Cartel head, David Rodriguez. Finally, Bishé will portray an American woman named Christina who seeks assistance from the US Embassy after her Colombian husband joins the drug trade.
Pedro Pascal is set to reprise his role as Javier Pena, but it is unknown if his partner, Steve Murphy, played by Boyd Holbrook, will return.
"Narcos" season 3 does not have a release date yet, but it will land sometime in 2017.
