(Bones)"My Hero Academia" season 2 to feature U.A. Sports Festival

The official trailer for "My Hero Academia" season 2 has just been released last Dec. 4 and rumors suggest that the upcoming installment will highlight the U.A. annual Sports Festival arc. Several reports mention that the Sports Festival arc is the fifth story in both the U.A. Beginnings Saga and Boku No Hero Academia.

If rumors are true, then avid viewers can expect to see thrilling games and events in the festival that will most likely include the human cavalry contest, obstacle race around the stadium, and the battle tournament.

In the manga version, Izuku and his companions went through rigorous competitions against other students coming from different schools all over Japan. Preliminary eliminations were held and students were made to go through several stages before they can qualify as finalists in the main competition. In the season 2 teaser, Izuku and his friends were seen preparing for the sports events while they were surrounded by a hug crowd in the stadium.

Season 1 of "My Hero Academia," which is based on the manga series created by Kohei Horikoshi, was released on Apr. 3, 2016 and featured 13 episodes. The series that contained English subtitles was aired by Funimation in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Ireland.

The first season was well-received by viewers worldwide mainly because of its unique plot. The story revolves around the life of a young boy named Izuku who was born without superpowers. Ironically, he was born in a world where boys his age possessed superhuman abilities.

Nevertheless, Izuku did not give up his desire to become a superhero and was soon recognized by the world's greatest hero who later shares his powers with the young boy. The hero eventually enrolls him in a high school where he trains.

"My Hero Academia" season 2 is expected to return some time in June 2017, according to some reports. Anime studio Bones based in Japan has yet to officially announce the release date for the series.
