Season 6 of "Mob Wives" has been dubbed as "Mob Wives: The Last Stand" due to it being the final season of the reality series. Even as the final season is winding down, the cast and its viewers were shocked when it was revealed that cast member Big Ang has been battling Stage 4 lung and brain cancer.

The upcoming episode titled "Younger Version of the Same Old BS" will follow Big Ang as she consults with a specialist regarding her current condition. The doctor brings up that she may have lung cancer and mentions surgery. After going through throat surgery last year, Big Ang is hesitant to have additional surgery but her doctor and husband Neil are willing to do whatever it takes to beat Big Ang's cancer.

Just last week, Big Ang's sister Janine Detore revealed that the reality star had been hospitalized and was in extreme pain. Detore also revealed that Big Ang underwent another round of chemotherapy last January. Unfortunately, it was revealed that chemotherapy was not working and that the family is now considering alternative forms of treatment. Detore also set up a Go Fund Me page to help with Big Ang's medical expenses.

While there a few more episodes before the end of the final season, it has been reported that the cast has already filmed the Reunion episode last Feb. 5. Due to Big Ang's current condition, her participation in the filming has not been confirmed.

Big Ang's cast mates continue to support her in this difficult period of her life.

"You would never know that she is in the fight of her life. She is a wonderful mother and friend to all. I simply adore her and am proud to call her my friend. My boys and I are praying for her, she is BIG in our hearts," co-star Alicia DiMichele told People.

Alicia added that despite her diagnosis, Big Ang has remained positive and her bright aura continues to light up the room.
