The next installment of the "MLB The Show" series, which would be "MLB The Show 17," is expected to feature a wide array of improvements seen in its many game modes.

As it turns out, some of these changes were already previewed in an earlier trailer, and now, developers have taken some time to talk more about these notable tweaks.

Starting off with the Road to The Show mode, developers detailed how this game component has improved in a new video.

In the video, community manager and game designer Ramone Russell shared that the revamped Road to The Show mode will now allow players to experience what it's like going through that Minor League grind as they will be given an opportunity to go inside those smaller and not quite as glamorous locker rooms.

Players can also expect to have more control over their character's career in the game as they will be able to choose from different dialogue options. Players need to be really careful when it comes to making these dialogue choices as the mode apparently progresses down a non-linear path, meaning numerous outcomes are in play.

For those players who may be more interested in just taking part in baseball games inside "MLB The Show 17" as opposed to its career-based component, then they should also know that there's a big change being applied to hitting.

How the ball moves after it makes contact with the bat has been tweaked as well. Players will soon be able to see more instances of the ball traveling down curved paths after they come off the bat, opening up new gameplay opportunities for both the hitters and the fielders.

There will also be more homerun swings included in the game that baseball fans should recognize right away.

"MLB The Show 17" is expected to be released on March 28, 2017.
