"Married at First Sight: The First Year" is currently on its second season and continues to up the drama. The show revolves around two couples—Doug and Jamie, Jason and Cortney—in their first year after the season 1 finale. It documents the two couples' ups and downs in their relationships as they struggle to keep their marriages alive.

The previous episode of the reality series showed Doug and Jamie quarrelling over the latter's sister's wedding. Jamie had expected Doug to be at the party the entire time, but he arrived late and left early to go to a softball game for a coach who had passed away. This caused a rift between the two and snowballed into a big fight.

Doug took Jamie out to a restaurant to apologize to her, but she doesn't budge. They ended up getting into a heated argument while at dinner, with Jamie exclaiming, "I would love it if you were a little bit more empathetic towards how I'm feeling rather than just saying 'I'm saying sorry and I'm moving on.'"

Clearly, the apology didn't work on her. In the end, with her trust issues and their latest fight, Jamie and Doug consulted with a therapist, Dr. Pepper Schwartz.

Meanwhile, things were going much smoother with Jason and Cortney. Finally being able to deal with his mother's death, Jason organized a gallery show for his mom's artwork. In the end, Jason decided to meet up with his half-sister, whom he had tracked down, at a coffee shop.

However, it looks like it's going to get a bit bumpy in their household on the next episode. On the show's Facebook page, a teaser video of the two arguing was posted.

"If she can't trust me, then there's much bigger problems going on," Jason says in the video. Cortney asks Jason about a check he supposedly deposited because it has not been reflected in their bank account, but he doesn't know its whereabouts. An upset Cortney then walks out on him with her voiceover saying, "If that kind of behavior continued, it's over."

"Married at First Sight: The First Year" airs every Tuesday on fyi.
