MacBook Pro 2016 release date, specs rumors: Laptop to be unveiled at Apple event on Oct. 27?
There have been many rumors circulating about the release date of the MacBook Pro 2016. However, it looks like Apple's next-generation MacBook Pro is going to be finally introduced in an upcoming event scheduled to take place on Oct. 27.
According to reports, invitations for the said Apple event have apparently already been sent out. Many are expecting the Cupertino-based tech giant to unveil many of its offerings, but the most-talked-about is perhaps the MacBook Pro 2016 because of its many new rumored features. It is widely known that a popular rumor has to do with an OLED bar being placed above the keyboard. This bar is said to allow users easy access to certain tools.
But apart from the OLED bar, speculations are also rife that the MacBook Pro 2016 will have a new keyboard, mouse, and trackpad as well. However, it remains to be seen if there is any truth to this as Apple has not yet confirmed these rumors. Due to this, readers should be cautious and take this news with a grain of salt for now.
Others have argued that the new MacBook Pro may do away with the 3.5-mm headphone jack. Apple recenly made waves online when the company released the iPhone 7 sans the jack, making it much thinner and lightweight. Since it has been said that the MacBook Pro 2016 is the thinnest in the lineup, many are speculating that Apple may have achieved this through the same means.
Another popular rumor states that standard USB ports will not be on board the laptop. Instead, USB Type-C ports will take their place. It is also expected to sport an aluminum chassis, an improved battery, and Intel's Skylake processor.
No word yet on when Apple plans to release the laptop to the market, but it is believed to arrive before the holidays.
