LG G3 release date: Launches on July 1 in the UK, July 25 in the US, rumors
After LG revealed its new flagship phone, the LG G3, an official release date has yet to be announced for Western markets.
Customers in the UK and US will still have to wait for the smartphone to be available in their area, as consumers in Asia got the first opportunity to get hold of LG's new flagship.
LG G3 was able to surpass the Samsung Galaxy S5 in its home market of South Korea with big margins in initial sales.
Many want to own the LG G3, which is currently considered the best phone of 2014. Unfortunately, the UK and U.S. still have to wait a bit.
New rumors have it the LG G3 releaes date in the UK market will be on July 1. US people will see the new smartphone on July 25.
Verizon is the first US carrier to launch the smartphone, which is a break from past trends where AT&T was the one who launched the LG G2 last year. As this is not confirmed yet, these rumors really ought to be taken with a grain of salt.
With a predecessor that made its way to be awarded the Gadget and Smartphone of the Year of 2013, LG G2 was a successful smartphone, putting pressure on the LG G3 to become even better.
With big competitors (no pun intended) like the Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z2 and HTC One M8 who each has great specs of their own, it looks like the LG G3 has a big challenge ahead of it.
With amazing slim bezels and dimensions that can stand up against any of HTC One M8, Galaxy S5 and Sony Xperia Z2; a microSD slot and a removable battery which will please Android power users, enhanced rear button designs and a textured finish, LG has equipped its flagship device to compete with all the other big names in the market today.
