The season five finale of "Game of Thrones" sure was a shocker to most fans. And those who have not quite come to terms with Jon Snow's death have come up with a number of theories, which argue that the Lord Commander of the Night's watch is not really dead.

MTV's Jon Wigler follows up a tip over Twitter that suggests Jon Snow might still really be alive. The user @chrisbrown1210 tells MTV that as the camera zooms in on Jon Snow's face, his eyes turn purple right before the end credits roll in. He shares that he watched the scene numerous times and zoomed in to Jon Snow's face. There he found his clue that the Stark bastard might still be alive. Though his eyes were not Targaryen purple, he notes that they changed to a different definitely lighter shade than his dark brown eyes.

The eye color change have caused many to wonder whether it is the show's way of confirming that Jon Snow might actually be Robert Baratheon and Lyanna Stark's son or if it is a clue that Snow is slowly morphing into a White Walker hybrid.

Though some theories make sense, Wigler also explains that the eye color change might simply be a result of a camera trick or the light reflecting the hue of the snow.

As of now, everything remains a rumor, although "Game of Thrones" fans are hoping that their questions will be answered either in the upcoming new season or in the highly-anticipated book, "The Winds of Winter."

George R.R. Martin, author of the epic fantasy novel series "A Song of Ice and Fire," on which the TV show is based, is still busy wrapping up the sixth volume in the series. He says he will try to have the book out before the sixth season premieres.
