'Jane the Virgin' season 3 spoilers, news: Michael's fate revealed in new photos?
Following the shooting in "Jane the Virgin" season two that left Michael's fans clamoring for information about his fate, two recent photos from production could actually give fans an idea of where Michael's story will be led to in season three.
Entertainment Weekly has gathered evidence to help viewers have a few sighs of relief. As fans know, Michael (Brett Dier) was shot shortly after he tied the knot with Jane (Gina Rodriguez), and though season three has yet to unveil what happens to him, fans initially believed that he wouldn't be around when the next installment of the hit show arrives.
The first piece of evidence presented by the outlet was from a Twitter post by the series' writers. The caption reads: "First table read of Season 3! All smiles on a Monday." In the image, Dier is seen beside Justin Baldoni, who plays Rafael on the show. He seems at ease as one of the production team members takes a photo of him and Baldoni.

While set photos could actually be swaying the minds of viewers regarding what would actually happen, another photo was shared by Andrea Navedo, who plays Xo in "Jane the Virgin."
Navedo and Baldoni are all smiles but Dier flashes a wacky look. "Table read happening right now for Season 3 episode one of @cwjanethevirgin #janethevirgin #wooHoo good stuff coming!" she wrote alongside the image. Again, the picture cannot really tell Michael's fate but based on Navedo's caption, good things are on the way.

It's unclear if the actress was referring to her storyline or someone else's but for now, fans can rely on the fact that Dier was around during the first round of readings for "Jane the Virgin" season three, which could mean he will still be around for the first few episodes or so.
On the other hand, twists are rampant in television so viewers should take any set photo or rumor with a grain of salt until the show returns to reveal the true events that will go down.
"Jane the Virgin" season three premieres October 17 on The CW.
