iPad Air 3 specs, release date rumors: Next tablet could land before end of this year or early 2016
Fans who have attended Apple's event last September were probably hoping to see more new devices from the tech giant. They did unveil the much awaited iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus but sadly, the iPad Air 3 was nowhere to be found in that event. Rumors, on the other hand, have been spreading like wildfire recently and have suggested that the next iPad Air tablet could land either by the end of 2015 or possibly early 2016.
According to the Chinese publication site MyDrivers [via Christian Today], it seems like Apple is taking its time with the release date of their next iPad Air iteration, the iPad Air 3. There's a chance that the tech giant will probably release it before the year ends or it could even be launched early 2016.
In terms of specifications, MyDrivers has stated that the iPad Air 3 will sport in a 9.7-inch screen with a 4K resolution of 3112 x 2334 pixels. This device, as speculated there, will either run on an A9 chipset or A9X. These CPUs are Apple's latest processors for their devices. It is also believed that the A9 processor will be backed up by either 2 GB of RAM or a 4 GB memory.
The CPU, display, and RAM may be impressive but sadly, the camera is a bit inferior. MyDrivers has reported that the iPad Air 3 will only come with an 8 MP rear (or main) camera and a 2.1 MP for the front-snapper. The source also added that the next iteration will receive a major reduction in the battery life, much lower than iPad Air 2's 7340 mAh.
Needless to say, since there is still no word from Apple, it's best to take this one with a grain of salt for now until proven legit.
