'Injustice 2' rumors, updates: Game sequel includes nine DLC characters; NetherRealm expected to announce more playable characters today
Rumors and speculations on the highly anticipated game sequel "Injustice 2" continue to surface online as its release date draws near. In fact, according to the latest reports, "Injustice 2" will likely feature nine downloadable content (DLC) characters that will make the game even more action-packed and riveting.
As of this writing, the only confirmed playable characters in "Injustice 2" include Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern Hal Jordan, The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, Supergirl, Blue Beetle, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Robin, Swamp Thing, Doctor Fate, Atrocitus, Gorilla Grodd, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Cheetah, Bane, Captain Cold, and Brainiac.
While the said DC characters are already expected to make "Injustice 2" entertainingly action-packed, the roster of the DC superheroes and villains featured in the game may become even bigger as unconfirmed reports claim that "Injustice 2" will also have additional nine DLC characters. As to who these characters are, no one outside NetherRealm Studios can really confirm as of this writing.
It is suspected, though, that the list of the nine DLC characters includes Red Hood, Firestorm, Starfire, Black Adam, Beast Boy, The Comedian, John Constantine, and Vixen. While these additions are nothing short of exciting and are welcome additions to the game, they are nothing but speculations at this point in time. Hence, fans are advised to hold their horses for now. After all, the only confirmed DLC character for "Injustice 2" for now is Darkseid, who is slated as a pre-order content.
Meanwhile, NetherRealm Studios is expected to release the list of "Injustice 2's" additional playable characters today. This was confirmed by no less than NetherRealm boss Ed Boon, who, on his official Twitter account, revealed that he has already seen the reveal video trailer and said that he is confident that fans will like it.
"Injustice 2" is expected to arrive to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC on May 16.
