Following the confirmation that "High School Musical 4" will happen, new reports are claiming that Corbin Bleu will return to the franchise as the new basketball team coach.

Bleu played the role of Chad Danforth all throughout the three installments of "HSM" so there is indeed a possibility that he returns to the franchise to reprise his role, though he will be all grown-up and according to Yibada, he will become the Wild Cats' coach.

"HSM" has yet to confirm Bleu's appearance and what exact role he will play if he does return for a supporting role. So far, the actor is the news these days while fans await for an official confirmation from the producers.

The rumors started in May, when Bleu attended the casting call held at the Anaheim Convention Center. He gave the aspiring stars a good talk and offered bits of advice for the dreamers. Since then, it has been speculated that the reason why he attended the event was to hint of his upcoming stint on "HSM 4."

Bleu isn't the only one who is getting linked to the fourth installment of "High School Musical." Rumor has it that Ashley Tisdale, who played Sharpay Evans in the franchise, may also appear in the film.

It is said that Tisdale will potentially play the role of an assistant in the theater club. Tisdale's Sharpay will definitely fit the role of someone who can replace the great Ms. Darbus. Sharpay is a fan favorite and it would do good for the movie if she becomes a supporting star for the new cast members.

As for Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron, there may be no hope to see the former lovers get back onscreen for "High School Musical 4." Efron has a busy schedule and Hudgens may not really want to appear with Efron in one screen for now. Last year, the actress opened up about how hard it was dating someone like Efron and based on her comments back then, she may not be ready yet to face her ex again.

Disney has yet to announce the release date of "High School Musical 4."
