'Hawaii Five-O' season 7 spoilers, news: Team tackles murder of serial killers on the premiere
The seventh season of "Hawaii Five-O" begins Sept. 23 and CBS has released the synopsis for the upcoming season's premiere. To start the season, a scary scene is said to prompt a serious search.
It is indeed going to be a serious search as the team finds a body of a serial killer inside the Five-O headquarters. And that won't be the only dead serial killer they will find as another one shows up in the vicinity. Add to that, the murderer of murderers will be playing games with the authority as chess pieces are found inside the mouth of both victims.
The tourist-filled place will be overcome with terror as visitors and residents alike will feel unsafe in the place where they seek relaxation and solace in. Actress Rosalind Chao will be the guest on the first episode as Governor Keiko Mahoe.
In related news, fans of Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and Catherine Rollins (Michelle Borth) will be disappointed to know that no second chance at love is happening for the two characters. When it was previously announced that Catherine will be guesting on the show, viewers rejoiced and hoped that the two will be back in each other's arms.
Entertainment Weekly caught up with the show's executive producer Peter Lenkov who said, "People are interpreting it like her coming back into the relationship and starting all over again, but I just don't think that can happen after all that these two have gone through." He continued, "Her relation to the story is more plot driven than reigniting that relationship."
It looks like the only romance concerning Steve that viewers will be seeing on-screen will be his bromance with Daniel Williams (Scott Caan). The previous season's finale has seen the length they would both go to just to save each other's lives and the upcoming season will just bring them closer together.
"Hawaii Five-O" season 7 will premiere on Sept. 23 right after "MacGyver" on CBS.
