'Halo Wars 2' release date, gameplay rumors: Sequel playable at E3 2016; beta version soon?
"Halo Wars 2" was first introduced at the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) and fans only got to see the trailer. Now, a year later, the game will actually be playable at the 2016 E3.
The announcement was just a form of teaser by community manager Andy Dudynsky via Halo Waypoint, who said that the "Halo Wars 2" team are preparing for E3, where the players can experience what the sequel is about.
"Halo Wars 2" was already scheduled to be released sometime in fall this year, but this new announcement serves as an update for fans who have been waiting to know more about the sequel's development.
While it's already confirmed that fans can get a glimpse of the gameplay at the event, other details about the sequel have not been given away. Fans should be excited to see what the game can bring to the table, but unfortunately for those who own PCs that have Windows OS versions prior to Windows 10, they won't get to experience the game.
It was already confirmed by a Microsoft representative that "Halo Wars 2" will be an Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive, which means that other gaming platforms, as well as Windows OS lower than Windows 10, will not be compatible with the title.
Meanwhile, rumors about "Halo Wars 2" continue to surface as E3 2016 is getting close. A Redditor discovered that "Halo Wars 2" has "tons of recent play session logs," which suggest that a beta version of the game will be released soon.
According to WCCFTech, the Redditor has a good track record of providing insider details, but considering that the source for the user's information is anonymous, readers should still take it with a pinch of salt.
Fans can just sit tight as the 2016 E3 is just a couple of weeks away and more details about "Halo Wars 2" are expected to be dropped at the event.
