'GTA 5 Online' DLC release date rumors, features: Biker DLC delayed to next month; Lost Slamvan, new character?
Rockstar Games released the latest downloadable content (DLC) update, "Cunning Stunts," for "Grand Theft Auto 5's" multiplayer mode last month, and now, word has it that a new DLC pack is just around the corner.
According to reports, "GTA Online's" next DLC is biker-themed and has been leaked since July when data miners discovered codes related to it. Although the game developer hasn't made an official announcement about a new game update, leaksters and fans of the game took it as a hint that a new DLC will soon be rolled out.
Previous rumors indicate that this Biker DLC should come out sometime this month, but it appears that this won't happen. An alleged Rockstar Games insider revealed that the Biker DLC has been pushed back to a later date, possibly in September, since the developer is having problems with the update. The insider, who has a Twitter handle, Yan2295, even made the announcement on the social media site. "The Biker update was scheduled for August, as I mentionned earlier. But they're having issues with it, so it's not coming out before a while," the tipster wrote.
Fans will just have to wait for an official update regarding the release of a new DLC. After all, game publisher Take-Two Interactive did confirm that new updates and DLCs are coming this year.
Meanwhile, features of the rumored Biker DLC are also making the rounds. A YouTuber named GTA Expert made a video hinting that the Lost Slamvan could be part of the update. iDigitalTimes further explained that the Slamvan, which is owned by the Lost biker gang, has been spotted in the game files for quite some time. The vehicle was even featured in a "GTA 4" expansion. The publication mentioned that the Biker DLC should be an appropriate update for the Slamvan's release.
In the same report, it was also speculated that a never-before used character named Al Carter could also be featured in the Biker DLC. As of the moment, nothing is certain yet so fans should treat all rumors about the upcoming DLC accordingly.
