Eve confronts Adalind on the next episode of "Grimm" and warns her about harming Nick in season 5 episode 17.

Viewers have been speculating on the love triangle that has formed between Nick, Adalind, and Juliette's new identity, Eve. While it appeared in previous episodes that Eve has none of the emotions Juliette had, the promo trailer for the next episode shows she still cares about Nick.

In a car scene, Eve asks Nick if he noticed changes in Adalind that leads to a shot showing Adalind saying "same as ever." Another scene shows the two women together in the apartment Adalind shares with Nick where Eve comes in to warn her, "If you harm Nick, I will come for you."

This opens up another story arc as Nick and Adalind have taken their relationship one step further from just co-parenting their child, Kelly. Aside from keeping her Hexenbiest secret from Nick, Adalind is also torn between nurturing what she has with him and giving in to Renard's condition to be with him, in order to see her first child. On the other hand, Nick and Juliette have been together since the series began but fell apart in the last episodes of the previous season, not to mention Juliette is responsible for the death of Nick's mother.

With both women having a history of giving in to the darkness brought by being Hexenbiests, who would Nick eventually be with?

The next episode is titled "Inugami," and on the work front, Nick, Hank, and Wu will investigate the death surrounding a local youth whose head was found under a bridge. The investigation will lead them to a Japanese Wesen who practices an ancient revenge tradition. Guest stars of the episodes are actor Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa and actress Keiko Agena.

Other developments expected to unfold in the episode are Eve's further investigation by turning into Capt. Renard and Sgt. Wu's impending transition into a werewolf after an encounter with one in episode 15.
