'Gotham' season 3 episode 9 spoilers: Nygma seeks comfort from Penguin

(Facebook/GOTHAMonFOX)Nygma is missing Isabella in the upcoming episode of "Gotham."

Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) will seek comfort from Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) in Isabella's (guest star Chelsea Spack) absence in the upcoming episode of "Gotham."

In the episode titled "Mad City: The Executioner," the synopsis (as per CarterMatt) reveals that Penguin will get his chance to monopolize Nygma once again, since Isabella is already out of the picture. He had her killed in the last episode, but Nygma still does not know this.

Penguin was jealous of Isabella because she kept on coming in-between him and Nygma. The other man was attracted to her because she reminded him of Kringle. When Nygma met Isabella at the wine store, he began spending more time with her than with Penguin.

The mayor of Gotham City did not like that. He planned to eliminate Isabella and he succeeded. As Nygma seeks comfort from him because of her absence, will the truth be revealed about what truly happened?

Nygma will likely be angry when he learns what Penguin has done. He will not understand it though since the boss man has yet to reveal his feelings for him.

For the past few episodes, Penguin has been trying to find a way to tell Nygma that he loves him. The night Nygma met Isabella, Penguin was supposed to confess his feelings over dinner.

Meanwhile, the promo reveals that Jim (Ben McKenzie) is starting to be suspicious of Barnes (Michael Chiklis). He tries to make Harvey (Donal Logue) see his side but the other man tells him that Barnes is not a killer.

Jim thinks the captain has something to do with the murder that took place during Lee (Morena Baccarin) and Mario's (guest star James Carpinello) engagement party. A plastic surgeon who had a history of medical malpractice was killed. Barnes executed him for his crimes. Because of Alice's (Naian Gonzalez Norvind) blood, he became out of control.

"Gotham" season 3 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
