GoPro Hero 5 release news: Next Hero action camera to be released after Karma Drone; launch date may land late 2016
Thrill seekers, especially the ones who like to document their latest adventures, are now anxiously waiting for the release of the successor of GoPro Hero 4. Unfortunately, the company has yet to offer any specific launch for the device. Luckily, though, a new report has emerged claiming that GoPro, Inc., the creator of the action camera, is now planning to roll out GoPro Hero 5 after the debut of the Karma Drone, according to Yibada.
The reason behind the delay was due to the negative feedback the company had received from the fans of Hero 4 regarding its camera. Because of that, the company requires a lot of time for them to upgrade the camera specifications for the Hero 5.
However, since there has been no word yet coming from GoPro, Inc. regarding the claims, it is very advisable to the fans to wait for further announcement. Needless to say, it's best to take this one with a pinch of salt, and consider it as a mere speculation until proven otherwise.
Meanwhile, as for the estimated timeframe launch for GoPro Hero 5 and some minor details, company CEO Nick Woodman had teased the fans that the next device will have much better components when compared to the previous iteration.
"Later this year, we will introduce the most connected and convenient GoPro we have ever made, Hero 5," Woodman said during the company's most recent earnings call.
"In terms of doubling down in hardware we are ensuring that any new and existing hardware products do a better job of connecting to smartphones and the cloud," he continued. "Any advancements in software will be matched at the hardware level."
Unfortunately, Woodman didn't go into further detail regarding the release date of GoPro Hero 5. With that in mind, it would be best to wait for more news coming from the company, which will probably emerge in the coming months.
