'Game of Thrones' season 7 plot rumors, news: John Bradley, Hannah Murray spotted filming; winter has come to King's Landing
Fans have already been informed of the whereabouts of certain key characters in "Game of Thrones" season 7, but one particular aspiring Maester has not been sighted — until now.
John Bradley's Sam was spotted filming in the Old Town of Cáceres, along with Hannah Murray's Gilly. They are not alone, though. They are joined by little Sam, who is noticeably older now, indicating that a good amount of time would have passed before the scene takes place.
Watchers on the Wall has deduced that Sam and Gilly may be riding North given the way they're dressed. Since fans know that Kit Harington's Jon Snow is in the North, there may be a long-awaited reunion in the works. Also of note is a bizarrely dressed extra, which the publication suggests may be Braavosi.
It should be taken into account, though, that the area where Bradley and Murray are filming is not the same place where Pilou Asbæk's Euron Greyjoy walked his victory parade — although both locations are within the same vicinity.
The two-day filming in Cáceres has already concluded, and photos of the production team packing up and leaving have also been posted online.
Meanwhile, Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Hafthor Bjornsson have been filming scenes in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The city is also being used as the setting for King's Landing, in addition to Cáceres. It should be noted that Dubrovnik is a King's Landing favorite of "Game of Thrones," having filmed there numerous times before.
However, the most intriguing part of the photos snapped in Dubrovnik is the visible wintry weather. The images reveal that artificial snow is being used for filming. King's Landing has not seen snow in years. But considering Jon Snow's ever-present saying, winter surely has come.
Shooting in Dubrovnik will soon wrap as well, though, so it would certainly be interesting to see where production will go to next. Check back for the latest news and updates.
