'Game of Thrones' season 6 news: Series director Jeremy Pondeswa dodges question about Jon Snow
The HBO hit series, "Game of Thrones" is currently shooting its sixth season. And even though filming of the series is far from over, with reports detailing how the show is still in the midst of shooting the first two episodes, fans are already starting to speculate on what they could expect in the upcoming season.
Too many unanswered questions were left by the previous season and one of the most controversial and arguably, the most sought after is — "Is Jon Snow dead?"
Without giving too much spoilers, a recent sit down with the show's director gave fans a little taste of what season six has in store. During the interview by Yahoo TV! with "GOT" director, Jeremy Podeswa, he stated that the expectations for the upcoming season will surely be high but he is confident that the return of the show would see sequences beyond anyone's imagination.
"Expectations are always very high at the beginning of the season, and checking in with all of the characters is a daunting prospect. What's great about this season is that there's very little expository stuff. It starts off with a bang and you're right into the excitement of the story," exclaimed the director.
When asked if Jon Snow will still be a part of season six, the director teased,
"...the show picks up where it left off last season. That's all I'll say on that subject."
According to some reports, two new "GOT" characters, Smalljon Umber and Lord Karstark, would be introduced in the sixth season of the show. It is, however, still unclear what the effect of their roles will be in the upcoming season.
HBO has yet to release a specific date for the release of "Game of Thrones" season six. However, the show is expected to premiere by April 2016, so stay tuned.
