With Disney tight-lipped on the sequel of the global blockbuster "Frozen," various unconfirmed reports have surfaced regarding what plot "Frozen 2" will have since it was announced. The latest in the rumor mill is that Anna will be the villain in the movie and will kill Elsa and her true biological sister, Rapunzel, because of her jealousy.

It was long speculated that Anna and Elsa are not real sisters, thanks to avid Disney fan theorists who have come up with various observations that bolster this possibility. For instance, The Film Theorists points out a lot of reasons why it's possible that Rapunzel is the real sister of Elsa, and not Anna, and one of which is the scene in "Frozen" wherein Rapunzel is seen in the movie after it was announced that that the kingdom of the Ice Queen is already open to the public.

The Film Theorists also points out that based on the family portrait of Elsa and Anna shown in a scene in "Frozen," the former looks distinctly different from the other members of her family and carries more resemblance with Rapunzel in the movie "Tangled." Furthermore, it alleges that the parents of Elsa and Anna were on their way to attend Rapunzel's wedding when they met their demise in a sea mishap.

While the points of The Film Theorists seem sensible, it remains nothing but a mere theory at this point in time.

On the other hand, Idina Menzel, the actress who lends her voice to Elsa in "Frozen" has said that the script for "Frozen 2" is yet to be finished.

"We are at story writing and they're working on it and I think I'm in it. That's all I know — unless maybe Elsa falls off an ice cliff and she dies in the first five minutes," Menzel jokingly said when interviewed by E! News.

Apparently, it was Menzel's joke that gave birth to the rumors that Elsa will die in "Frozen 2" as she falls off the cliff, which was later on updated by other creative fan theorists by adding that Anna will be responsible for it and will kill Rapunzel, too.

As of this writing, it remains unclear when "Frozen 2" will arrive in theaters, although rumors point to a 2018 showing date.
