Fossil Q Motion arrives with great looks
There is a new activity tracker from Fossil and it is branded the Q Motion. As soon as the device was showed off at SXSW by the company, it became clear that the activity tracker was one of the better looking options in the market.
Reporting on the arrival of the Fossil Q Motion, Pocket Lint states that Fossil seems to have benefited from the acquisition of Misfit last year. Now as a result of this particular buyout, the company has released the Fossil Q Motion which was quickly labeled as being designed along the lines of the Misfit Ray. Also, the Fossil Q Motion is described as possibly the best fitness tracker in terms of looks and this is a big deal as many such offerings are quickly taking on the appearance of minimalistic pieces of jewelry.
As for the price tag of the Fossil Q Motion, it is $95 and it performs a set of basic functions like tracking steps and other metrics that fitness trackers usually do. Additionally, there is no screen on the device and the user is alerted to any notifications via vibration. There is also a LED light that glows. However, there are smart buttons on the fitness tracker which can be used by the user whenever needed.
Importantly, the Fossil Q Motion can be paired with Android and iOS devices and this is a major plus point. When paired with such smartphones and tablets, users will get to decide which types of notifications should be pushed to the Fossil Q Motion and using this feature, they can ensure that only the important ones from apps or specific contacts are pushed through.
Finally, the Fossil Q Motion can last for six months on a single charge. It can also be used via IFTTT to control the playing of music on other devices. It can also search for phones if users misplace them and even allow them to activity cameras on smartphones and take a selfie.
