'Fear the Walking Dead' season 2B spoilers: Reunion to happen
The Abigail passengers are no longer intact, and while viewers expect them to be back together again by the season finale, some of them may be reunited ahead when "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 returns.
The second half of "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 will start airing on Aug. 21 and speculations on what would happen next are plenty. For the first time, viewers saw the main characters separated three ways. Travis (Cliff Curtis) and Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie) are separated from Madison (Kim Dickens), Alicia (Alycia Debnam Carey), and the other surviving passengers of Abigail, and Nick (Frank Dillane) is on his own.
Some photos have already been released and one shows Nick travelling alone in the highway. While he has figured to walk among the undead unharmed, showrunner Dave Erickson revealed he won't be solo for a long time.
In an interview with TVLine, Erickson said, "We connect something in the premiere of the back half. We find out he had something in his had that we didn't know about that makes him a little bit less insane than to just walk off. He also reconnects with someone when we come back in Episode 8."
Many believe that Nick would soon join Travis and Chris because all three of them are left behind in dry land. Before Nick stayed behind, he and Travis already met so he is aware that he, too, is left behind with his son.
Some also believe that it would be Daniel (Ruben Blades) he will meet since the character has been revealed to still be alive. However, this is not likely since Blades is still busy with his other commitments and the earliest viewers will get to see him again would be in season 3.
Still there are others who think it will be Jack (Daniel Zovatto) whose story arc with Alicia many viewers still want to continue. Erickson shares this sentiment as he said in another interview, "There's something interesting about Jack to me and his relationship with Alicia."
"Fear the Walking Dead" returns on Aug. 21, Sunday, at 9 p.m. on AMC.
