'Far Cry Primal' DLC news: 'Legend of the Mammoth' DLC gives players access to three exclusive missions
With the imminent release of "Far Cry Primal," game developer Ubisoft has now released details regarding the upcoming downloadable content for the Stone Age-based action-adventure video game.
The "Far Cry Primal" DLC is called "Legend of the Mammoth" and will consist of three exclusive missions – Duel of Beasts, Hunt the Hunters and The Trapped Elder. Based on the promo trailer for "Legend of Mammoth," players will have the chance to play as an almighty mammoth by drinking from the shaman's cup.
In Duel of Beasts, players will prove their strength as they battle a powerful rhino and his herd. Players will assert their dominance and fight against the rhino to become the mightiest creature in Oros.
Then, with the Trapped Elder mission, players will have to rescue the elder mammoth who has been captured by hunters. The mission entails breaking into the human camp, freeing him and smashing everything that comes in your way.
Finally, the Hunt the Hunter mission tasks players to lead their herd into battle. The mammoth herd seeks to take revenge on the humans and will have to crush every threat that tries to stop them.
According to Game Rant, the Legend of Mammoth DLC will provide players with up to 45 minutes of extra gameplay.
Players who pre-order the game will be given access to the "Far Cry Primal" DLC as the game releases. Currently, "Far Cry Primal" is available to purchase with the Collector's Edition and retail-specific Special Editions. The DLC, however, will not be exclusive to those who pre-order.
Those who wish to gain access to more additional "Far Cry Primal" goodies should look into purchasing the Collector's Edition. It will include a new weapon called the Blood Shasti Club that is unbreakable and cannot be destroyed by fire. Players also gain access to four enhancement packs – Sabretooth, Owl, Mammoth and Bomb.
"Far Cry Primal" is scheduled for release on Feb. 23 for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. It will be released on March 1 for the Microsoft Windows PC.
