News is going crazy over the reported feud between rap royalties Drake and Eminem. The two are reported to be up against each other, but it looks like the news is just being used as headline to rouse curiosity.

Many reports trace the feud to a joke made by DJ Ebro Darden of Hot 97 that caused an old rift between DJ-rapper Funk Flex to resurface. The old feud about Flex accusing Drake of using ghost for his freestyle raps that involved another hip hop artist, Meek Mill, who was supposed to be the one Drake was up against in the first place. As to where Eminem figures in the feud, reports do not say so.

Digital Spy, on the other hand, has a more detailed recollection of the story. DJ Ebro shared to his listeners about a supposed conversation he had with Drake. He said, "I told Drake that I heard the rumour was Eminem was going to gear up to come after him." Then the DJ proceeded to say that Drake just laughed and said, "That's not gonna happen. He'd never do that. And if he did, I got something for him, too."

After his supposed joke was taken as fact by many, the story was quick to produce memes on social media. It did not take long for DJ Ebro to clarify his statement and said it was just a joke and that people quickly ran with it.

The question should be: Why DJ Ebro made a joke about a supposed feud involving Drake and Eminem? Before the DJ made the slow news day joke, Drake was in some kind of feud with rapper Joe Budden who criticized his album "Views." Budden has signed under Eminem's record label, but Drake and Eminem have never been on actual feud.

And as the publication suggests, Drake and Eminem's feud could just be used to attract readers.
