'Bleach' chapter 685 release date, spoilers: Next chapter is said to be the last; ten-year time jump
A new chapter of the manga series "Bleach" will be released this week and fans should expect the death of Yhwach.
Yibada reported that the new chapter of "Bleach" is slated to release on its regular Thursday schedule. Further, spoilers from Manga Sail revealed the plot of the next chapter features a time jump.
According to the spoiler report, the new chapter will reveal a story that takes place 10 years after the events that happened in episode 684. In the previous episode, Ichigo and the gang were able to temporarily neutralize Yhwach, but the villain was able to get back up again. Ishida then shot him with his arrow, thereby disabling his powers for a short period of time.
Soon, the Ichigo vs. Yhwach battle will come to an end and people will get to see the future. The next chapter fast forwards to 10 years after and gives hints of the changes to the story.
Shunsui is found drinking while facing the tomb of his friend Ukitake. The Soul Society's journey to rebuilding is almost complete. Kuchiki Rukia has also become Team 13's new leader. As for Ichigo, fans are not so thrilled about the prediction that Ichigo will either retreat to his normal life or lead the Shimigamis.
It was reported that chapter 685 should be the last chapter of the series, but it appears not to be the case. According to a report from Anime News Network, "Bleach" will reach the climax of its story with two more chapters, which means that chapter 686 should be the final chapter. The magazine issue though did not explicitly mention that the next chapter is the last, but "climax" was written on the opening page of the magazine in "phonetic katakana alphabet," which according to ANN signifies the end of the story.
Fans may be saddened that the manga will end soon, but still they're excited to see what happens to Ichigo in the story.
