'Better Call Saul' season 3 spoilers, air date: iconic 'Breaking Bad' character may finally appear
Over the past couple of months, a titular name from "Breaking Bad" has been linked to "Better Call Saul" season three, and as the days pass, it seems that fans are getting close to seeing this character appear in Saul Goodman's life.
As fans know, "Better Call Saul" is the prequel to "Breaking Bad" and it's not impossible to see some of the characters from the latter series to make appearances in the upcoming episodes of "Better Call Saul."
Giancarlo Esposito's Gus Fring is undeniably one of the most beloved villains in the history of television, and though he has long been rumored to be featured in the series, season three may be the perfect time to introduce him to Bob Odenkirk's Jimmy McGill since it is expected that Jimmy will soon transform into Saul.
Following the betrayal that Jimmy experienced from his own brother, he will most likely be forced to peel his good layers and become the person that fans have been waiting to see. This is where Gus will play an important role.
In "Breaking Bad," television's treasured character Walter White (Bryan Cranston) met and worked under the shadows of the law with Gus after Saul introduced the two. Rumor has it that in "Better Call Saul" season three, Gus will acquire Saul's help by asking him to be his lawyer so his drug empire can continue running under the covers of his fast food chain. It is also speculated that in the upcoming episodes, Gus will hire Mike (Jonathan Banks) to become one of his top security men.
Thanks to Chuck (Michael McKean) and his big revelation in the previous installment, Gus' arrival in Jimmy's life is getting closer and closer. If Chuck completely reveals that his brother tampered with the Mesa Verde documents, this is the gateway for Saul to appear, thus leading to the highly-anticipated meeting of the drug lord, Gus, and the shady street lawyer, Saul.
Will Gus get in touch with Jimmy soon? Find out when "Better Call Saul" season three premieres early 2017 on AMC.
