'Battlefield 5' release date rumors: New leak hints at launch date and future DLC plans
A new rumor concerning "Battlefield 5" may have just revealed when the game will be officially launched.
A new leak coming courtesy of Reddit user "KoXin" hints at future plans for the game.
"KoXin" shared three different images related to the game, including one that suggests that the upcoming shooter will be known as "Battlefield 5: Eastern Front."
Another image indicates that the game will be launched on June 12 and that the announcement will be made during the upcoming EA Play event.
Last, but arguably not least, the Reddit user also shared a document that appears to contain EA's future DLC plans for "Battlefield 5."
There are five total DLC packs included in the document.
The first one, which will apparently be released on Dec. 6 and will be known as "Eastern Front," will take players to different Eastern European locales as they engage Russian forces in combat.
Next up is a DLC pack which will supposedly be named "Fallen Dragon," and according to the document, it will allow players revisit some of the maps featured in "Battlefield 4."
The third DLC pack, which could be known as "Prototype Warfare," will apparently feature a more futuristic concept along with hi-tech vehicles.
"Titan Assault," the fourth DLC pack included in the document, will apparently allow players to take part in battles while in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
Lastly, the fifth DLC pack named in the document, which may be named "Independence Day," could allow players to take on members of the Pan Asian Coalition.
Unfortunately, the Reddit user did not specify exactly where the images came from, making it difficult to determine just how accurate the information may actually be.
For now, fans will just have to wait for official word from EA to find out if the new rumor concerning "Battlefield 5" is accurate or just another hoax.
