Asus ZenBook Flip UX360CA specs: 360-degree hinge transforms Intel Core M laptop into a tablet

(Asus)The new Asus ZenBook Flip UX360CA is convenient and versatile.

Asus has added another laptop to its popular ZenBook lineup — the ZenBook Flip UX360CA. The newly introduced laptop comes with the signature features of a ZenBook but has added appeal — thanks to a 360-degree hinge that allows the laptop to transform into a tablet.

The ZenBook is convenient and versatile. Users will be able to tilt the display to any angle they desire. The metal hinge is also very durable after enduring testing of up to 20,000 cycles of opening and closing.

Regardless of viewing angle, the Zenbook Flip provides users with a crystal clear display. It is equipped with a 13-inch IPS display with either a Quad HD 3200 x 1800 screen resolution or a Full HD 1920 x 1080 screen resolution. Both displays come with 276 ppi pixel density and 72 percent NTSC color gamut. The laptop also comes with a solid aluminum chassis with Asus' signature Zen-inspired spun-metal finish on the case. It is ultra-thin at 13.9 mm and ultra-light at just 2.87 pounds.

The ZenBook Flip is powered by the latest sixth-generation Intel Core M Skylake processor. It can support the Core M3, M5, and M7 processors. The processor competently handles all of the user's computing needs. Its fanless operation also provides a quiet computing experience. Depending on the configuration, the laptop comes with either 4 or 8 GB of RAM and either 128 GB or 512 GB of SSD storage.

The laptop is backed by a high-capacity 54 Whr lithium-polymer battery that provides up to 12 hours of battery life. Not only is the ZenBook very portable but it can also provide entertainment and productivity during long-distance trips.

The Windows 10 OS has also been optimized to highlight the display's touch screen display when in Tablet mode. Other notable features include a chiclet keyboard, an HD web camera, WiFi 802.11 ac, and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity. In terms of ports, the Zenbook Flip comes with one USB Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, a micro HDMI port, and an SD card reader.

Pricing and release date will be announced at a later date.
