Apple iOS 10.2 jailbreak release date, news: Tech giant releases an impenetrable firmware; jailbreakers powerless over the new update

(Reuters/Lucas Jackson)Apple has released the 10.2 update, and jailbreakers are unable to breach it.

Hackers tend to breach security of big companies just for the pleasure of doing it, or simply gaining pride in achieving such feat. It seems Apple is denying that prestige with the iOS 10.2 update, causing jailbreakers to stay mum and fangless.

After Apple released its latest firmware, infamous Chinese hacking group Pangu has kept silent, without any update for its many followers regarding development if it is able to breach Apple's latest update. It claims to have breached iOS 10, but no proof has been found whatsoever, leading people to speculate that Apple has indeed won this round.

Even renowned jailbreaker @qwertyoruiopz has given up and advised his followers to remain with the previous firmwares, as updating would render the bugs destroyed. This would render jailbroken devices unable to illegally access certain apps that were possible before.

Rumors are circulating that Apple is releasing another update soon, and when that happens, it will leave hackers eating dust as the tech giant is taking aggressive measures to ensure that its devices remain far from being breached again. The chase may finally be reaching its end with the upcoming patches.

Why do people jailbreak? People resort to jailbreak in order to get a variety of advantages, and the biggest reason is to get paid apps for free. However, therein lies a big problem, as jailbroken devices are very susceptible to hacking, something that Apple is combating on a daily basis.

The latest iOS 10.2 patch contains brand-new emojis, such as clown face, drooling face, face palm, selfie, butterfly, and a lot more. It also carries new wallpapers, as well as music sorting options for Apple users. TV app settings and camera options are also included in the latest update.

With these facts in mind, users are given the decision to update or not, depending on what they would wish to have in their devices — security vs. free paid apps. Either way, alternatives, such as TweakBox and Mojo, allow users to access apps not available in the Apple store.
