Chevrolet has announced that the company will be offering a new lineup of Z06 performance parts designed for the Stingray models including the Z51-equipped cars.

"We've selected specific components from the Corvette Z06 and engineered them to fit the award-winning Stingray. These Z06 parts enhance the handling, braking, cooling and downforce performance of the Stingray," said Jim Campbell, vice president of Chevrolet's Performance Vehicles and Motorsports.

The 2016 Corvette Stingray is already quite powerful with its 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine producing 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. The sports car can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. With Z06 components, performance is enhanced further.

The Z06 performance parts will be offered as direct replacements for the Corvette Stingray's original parts.

"You can mix and match the parts to build your own ultimate Stingray track car – all with factory-engineered components customers can trust will fit and perform as expected," said Mark Dickens, director for Performance Variants, Parts and Motorsports.

Chevrolet has released 15 new performance parts including a 600-watt radiator fan, a secondary radiator kit, a rear transmission oil cooler and a heat shield. Chevrolet is also offering carbon fiber kits, brake kits and suspension packages. For upgraded style, there is also the Z06 Grille kit and the Z06 Quarter Panel Vents.

To showcase these performance parts, Chevrolet also unveiled the Gloss Black concept car that includes a unique air extractor hood with red accents, mirrors and rear spoiler. It also stands out due to distinct carbon flash vents, rocker extensions and a carbon fiber roof panel. The sports car also comes with edge-lit LED turn signals.

The concept car also features a blacked-out cabin with Competition Sport seats with suede inserts throughout the interior. It is powered by the standard Sintgray V8 engine mated with a 7-speed manual transmission with Active Rev Match.
