'19 Kids and Counting' news: Jim Bob and Michelle's Central America visit surrounded by controversy; Jill Duggar expecting again?
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's recent trip to Central America to visit daughter Jill and her family has generated controversy. But will the Dillards cut short their missionary work in order to avoid the zika virus?
Former "19 Kids and Counting" star Jill Duggar, her husband Derrick Dillard and their son Israel recently received a surprise visit from Jim Bob and Michelle. In his family blog, Derrick wrote that his in-laws "surprised us recently with an impromptu visit for a few days" and that they were happy to have spent time with them. The couple apparently also showed them the missionary work that they are doing in the area.
Derrick also gave some updates regarding his 10-month-old son. The proud father revealed that his son now weighs 23 pounds and counts bananas and avocados as his favourites. Israel is even cruising around their home too, prompting them to baby proof their house, "adding cabinet locks and outlet covers that 'Grandma C' (my mom) sent down."
The Dillards appear to have adjusted to their life in Central America and have even shared some photos about their life and work, as well as Jim Bob and Michelle's recent visit.
However, the Duggars trip to Central America also reportedly garnered criticisms from people who wondered who took care of the young children they left behind. There were also questions as to whether there were TLC cameras following them during the trip, as it has been reported that a "19 Kids and Counting" reboot is in the horizon.
While the Dillards' appear to be settled in their life in Central America, it's been speculated that they might be cutting their missionary work short and will be heading back to Arkansas earlier than expected. According to reports, Jill might already be pregnant with her second child and with the threat of the zika virus in the region, they need to return stateside as soon as possible.
