Young and the Restless spoilers: Michael Muhney to return as castmember?
Fans were shocked when Michael Muhney, who plays Adam Newman in The Young and the Restless, was kicked off the series following a scandal. Will he return to reprise his role?
There are rumors circulating that Michael Muhney is set to return to the soap The Young and the Restless, though there has not been any confirmation coming from the actor or the producers. However, a report by Soap Opera Digest suggests Muhney has been spotted in and out of the set of The Young and the Restless, and some are saying that he is shooting for the show again.
Eric Braeden, the actor who was rumored to have played a role in Muhney's firing, talked to Radar Online and expressed that he had nothing to do with Muhney's exit from the show. Instead, he insisted that Muhney was the one who was having a "campaign" to kick him off the show.
"He wanted me off the show because he wanted to be head honcho," said Braeden to Radar Online.
"In his words, I was the old lion and he was the young lion. He wanted to push aside the old lion. That was in his words to me, at the very end. I welcomed that guy." continued the senior actor.
In December 2013, Muhney was fired from the show after an alleged sexual assault scandal surfaced. Jill Farren Phelps, one of the show's producers, fired Muhney after his co-star Hunter King, claimed that Muhney groped her. There were no official charges filed against Muhney.
