Xbox Live Gold news: 'World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap' leads list of January 2017 free games

(NeoCoreGames)"World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap" is part of Xbox Games with Gold for January 2017.

Xbox Live Gold members can look forward to receiving four free games for January 2017. However, those who are crazy about vampire stories will surely be grateful that "World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap" is part of the list.

It was no less than Microsoft's Larry Hryb, otherwise known as Major Nelson, who revealed the list of the four games that Xbox Live Gold members can receive in the coming days. Xbox One 360 owners who are members of the program are slated to receive "The Cave" and "Rayman Origins" next month, with the former becoming available for streaming beginning the first day of the month, while the latter will become available for download beginning Jan. 16.

On the other hand, Xbox Live Gold members who use the Xbox One console will receive "Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition" beginning Jan. 16, while "World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap" becomes available the entire month of January 2017.

Without question, the release of "World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap" is a welcome news to those who are fond of the vampire slayer Van Helsing as the game requires players to prevent the monsters from the depth from conquering and killing. The game allows the players to choose their respective heroes to defend the fort. As the game is a Tower Defense game that boasts of strong action RPG elements, vicious tricks, killing machines, rotating blades and splattering blood, it is, without question, a great game for those whose idea of gaming entertainment includes the aforementioned.

In its review of the game last year, Gamespot opines that "World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap" is compelling, extremely appealing, and fun to play with. While it believes that the game would have been better if it had more content, as it obviously lacks such beginning its fifth and sixth stage, "World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap" is one game that is worth playing to kill time.
