CM Punk returning to WWE? Wrestler hints possible return on Twitter

CM Punk recently proved that despite being out of the WWE, he still remains relevant in the circle of sports entertainment.
Phil Brooks, easily known as CM Punk, has been out of the wrestling limelight for some time now. He ended his career in January 2014 and has not been seen in the ring since.
His new career is not very different from his old job, though, as Punk is now concentrating on his MMA career after being signed to the UFC.
His move has created a backlash, as many know the real dangers of MMA outweigh that of sports entertainment, but there is no denying the passion that Punk has for competing – and a move to this level is certainly something that should be applauded.
Photos of his official UFC photos have been released, with his trademark tattoos on display, Punk was seen wearing UFC gloves and posing for the camera ahead of his proposed battle in the Octagon.
However, it seems that Punk's name will always be dragged back into professional wrestling, and the 36-year-old is happy to oblige.
Recently, Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW) co-owner John Thorne used Twitter to call out Punk and invite him to make a comeback to sports entertainment.
In his tweet, dated May 22, Thorne revealed that he was willing to cancel a match between Johnny Gargano and Samoa Joe if CM Punk came out of retirement to take the match on.
Not a stranger to reactions and riling up the crowd, Punk simply responded with two words.
"How much?" was his reply.
Now the conversation continued from there, with Thorne claiming that he would sell his own car to pay for Punk's appearance, with even Gargano sacrificing himself and saying he would cancel his own appearance to make it happen.
Unfortunately for wrestling fans, things didn't work out. Whether it was simply a move by Punk to raise hope among fans is something only he would know. But given Punk's disdain for the WWE, his return seems impossible. With AIW, maybe he could return solely for promotional purposes.
But for now, Phil "CM Punk" Brooks is a UFC fighter.
