'WWE 2K17' release news: The New Day wouldn't mind being the cover stars
"WWE 2K17" doesn't have a cover star just yet, though if some WWE Superstars got their wish, it may even have more than one.
During a recent interview with GamesMaster, a snippet of which was shared by GamesRadar, WWE Superstar Big E of The New Day made a suggestion regarding who should be on the cover of the upcoming game.
According to Big E, "it's a slam dunk: the three of us, clearly," referring to himself and also to fellow New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.
Big E even cites Woods' gaming prowess and their extended reign as tag team champions as reasons for why the "WWE 2K17" cover should be occupied by them.
As far as cover star suggestions go, The New Day would be an interesting choice, especially given how popular the faction has become over the last year or so.
The members of The New Day are far from being cover star locks however as numerous other WWE Superstars can stake a claim to the coveted space.
For instance, current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns landing the cover would not be that surprising, and it also would not be that shocking to find out that number one contender Seth Rollins has gotten the nod.
The WWE could also hand over the coveted spot to current WWE Women's Champion Charlotte or perhaps even to one of her rivals, the popular Sasha Banks.
Other cover star possibilities for the upcoming game include long-time WWE stalwart The Undertaker or perhaps even his "WrestleMania 32" opponent Shane McMahon.
It would probably also be wise not to rule out the possibility that John Cena could end up on the cover of the upcoming game.
Fans will likely find out about who will be gracing the cover of "WWE 2K17" soon, and after that, they can look forward to the game being officially released this October.
