'Winds of Winter' release date rumor: after George R R Martin blog post, is 'A Song of Ice and Fire' book already being printed?
"The Winds of Winter," the sixth book in George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" is probably as anticipated as the sixth season of HBO's "Game of Thrones," which was based on the said book series.
But even with no definite release date in sight, fans of the epic fantasy novels believe that "Winds of Winter" is complete and is ready to be shipped out any time soon.
The "A Song of Ice and Fire" books have created such a cult following even before it was turned into a hit HBO series. The sixth book, "The Winds of Winter," is so anticipated that fans have been latching on to every little tidbit about its release date. Even the smallest clue is a huge deal for those anticipating the newest title in the series.
The latest clue to the "The Winds of Winter" release date, which fans are trying to discern, came in the form of a blog post from George R.R. Martin himself. He announced a travel to New York and New Jersey and added, "And while I will be travelling, my army on minions will be here at the old homestead, toiling in the paper mines."
This phrase has caused some fans to jump to conclusions that the latest book in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series is already in printing. One fan noted that they may be "just desperate" but that they may also be "on to something."
These all stand to be rumors and mere wishful thinking at the moment, though. GRRM himself just recently said that he is still working on the book and is unsure as to when the book will actually hit the shelves.
The Inquisitr also pointed out that while "The Winds of Winter" may be the hottest title expected from GRRM these days, the author also has other projects that he is currently working on. GRRM is also finalizing the edits of his next "Wild Cards" title.
