'Winds of Winter' delay reported to affect 'Game of Thrones' storyline

It has been reported that two main characters in HBO's Game of Thrones, Bran and Hodor, will not be seen in the upcoming Season 5.

Actor, Kristian Nairn, who plays Hodor in the series, explains that he will instead be focusing on his DJ career during his time off from the show.

"We have a season off and we have a year's hiatus, solely because I imagine our storyline is up to the end of the books," said Nairn to Yahoo, as reported by The Independent.

However, reports suggest that the real reason behind Bran and Hodor's absence in the next season is the delayed release 'Winds of Winter,' where the last chapters of Bran and Hodor's story are expected to happen.

In the latest season, Bran and Hodor finally begun their quest to reach The Wall, with Bran already meeting the Three-Eyed Crow always present in his vivid dreams.

Game of Thrones Season 5 will focus on other main characters such as Jon Snow, who's expected to take a major responsibility in exchange of turning down another one.

Cersei's fate will also be seen in the next season, with humiliation and embarrassment set to happen for the frigid royal of King's Landing. Tyrion Lannister's story will also continue, as well as Daenerys Targaryen's and Arya Stark's.

As of present, there is still no definite release date for Winds of Winter, and other storylines are still pending, including Targaryen's epic battle against the Yunkai forces.
