'Wentworth' season 5 updates: Bea's death confirmed by Allie's desire for revenge

(Facebook/Wentworth)Allie is expected to avenge Bea's death in "Wentworth" season 5.

While there are still those who hope that the upcoming season 5 of the Australian series "Wentworth" will feature Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack) being alive, it is likely that they are up to a major disappointment as it is apparent that the upcoming season of the series will feature Allie Novak (Kate Jenkinson) avenging her lover's death.

After months of speculations, it has finally been revealed that "Wenworth" season 5 is finally arriving next month. While there are some who are looking forward to the release of the series' upcoming season because of their hope that it may surprise them that Bea is still alive, the recently released trailer for the highly anticipated returning series clearly suggests that Bea is dead.

Based on the trailer for "Wentworth" season 5, one can easily conclude that Bea is dead as it teases that the upcoming season of the series will be about revenge. If Bea is not dead, why would Allie and the other inmates will take revenge on Joan "The Freak" Ferguson (Pamela Rabe) as suggested in the trailer?

Nonetheless, while fans, on the whole, are excited to see "The Freak" getting a dose of her own medicine, reports claim that some are still hoping that "Wentworth" season 5 will deliver some plot twists eventually, especially a revelation that Bea is not actually dead. After all, earlier rumors suggested that Bea may have not died when "The Freak" stabbed her multiple times in the season 4 finale but may only be in a comatose in a hospital.

Whether it will be eventually revealed that Bea, indeed, survived the stabbing incident, there is no stopping Allie from exacting revenge on "The Freak." After all, apart from the trailer showing Allie holding a chain, Jenkinson said in an earlier interview that her character will make "The Freak" pay for her crime.

"People are going to want revenge. Specific people (points at self). If you want to see justice for Bea, then watch season five," Jenkinson told "After Ellen" in August last year.

"Wentworth" returns to Showcase for its season 5 this April 4.
