Following the shocking finale of "Wentworth" season four that sent some fans into a rage, it has been confirmed that Danielle Cormack's Bea Smith will no longer return to the hit series. However, rumor has it that production for the fifth season is already hard at work to find the perfect replacement for the fan favorite.

Recent reports suggest that the two main choices are: Joan "The Freak" Ferguson" and Karen "Kaz" Proctor. However, there are some who believe that Kaz may not be the best choice since she was depicted in the previous installment as someone who was after Bea's life. If production chooses Kaz to replace the amazing Bea Smith, more fans will surely be disappointed.

There are also some who suggest that Joan may be a better replacement for Bea. While the actress who plays Joan, Pamela Rabe, may be aged compared to Bea, she can potentially perform some of the skills that Bea had shown in the previous seasons. More fans will most likely agree that Joan can fill in Bea's loss in "Wentworth" season five.

Meanwhile, there's still hope among viewers that Bea will suddenly make a big comeback. Many shows have done the impossible and resorted to bringing back characters from the dead through storylines that tell of how they either faked their deaths or were able to survive after all the struggle.

While "Wentworth" season four could do this, executive producer Jo Porter has previously confirmed that Bea is dead and there won't be any plans to bring her back from the dead. The announcement was a sad moment for fans who followed Bea's journey in the franchise. But despite this official word from production, there are still a lot of viewers who believe that the show is merely trying to pull off a huge Bea-returns-from-the-dead shocker so the fifth installment can have a good story to tell.
