'Vikings' season 4B spoilers, plot rumors: Ragnar dies; Lagertha becomes Queen of Kattegat
The air date of "Vikings" season 4B hasn't been announced yet, but this doesn't stop the fans from speculating as to what events may transpire in the second half of the season of the historical fiction series on History Channel. Among the numerous speculations, there is no denying that one of the most persistent is that "Vikings" 4B will feature the death of Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) and the rise of Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) to the throne.
According to reports, fans are already expecting that the second half of "Vikings" season 4 will feature a lot of deaths once more, just like what happened in the first half of its season 4, wherein numerous characters, such as Earl Kalf (Ben Robson), Queen Kwenthrith of Mercia (Amy Bailey), Erlendur (Edvin Endre's), Angrboda (Rosalie Connerty), and many more were killed. However, this time, it is believed that the series will kill off no less than its main protagonist, Ragnar, the King of Kattegat.
Although it is strongly speculated that Ragnar will die, fans of the series still have no solid suspect as to who will carry out his death. Nonetheless, it is suspected that the troubled king will meet his demise in the hands in of one of his allies.
Meanwhile, apart from Ragnar, it is also rumored that Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) will also die when "Vikings" season 4B begins airing. If the rumors are correct, Ragnar's second wife may even meet her end before Ragnar dies, and it will be Ragnar himself who will deliver her death.
Rumor has it that Aslaug will learn from the Seer that the new ruler of Kattegat will be a woman. In her desire to ensure that it will be her and not Lagertha, she will launch an attack against her husband's first wife. However, as Ragnar discovers that Aslaug has made him take a medicine that makes him addicted and slowly kills his spirit, he attacks Aslaug and eventually kills her.
As Aslaug is already dead, it is said that Lagertha will rise to the throne after Ragnar dies.
However, as everything is nothing more than a speculation, all the aforementioned alleged events in "Vikings" season 4B should be taken with a grain of salt for the time being as things can only be confirmed once the series begins airing the second half of its season 4 over History Channel later this year.
