'Tokyo Ghoul' season 3 update: Rumor cancellation of anime's upcoming season not true, sources say

(Facebook/Tokyo Ghoul)"Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 is said to arrive this winter.

Avid fans of Ken Kaneki can now sigh in relief as it has been confirmed that there is "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 after all even if the anime was recently rumored to have been axed.

Fans of the famous "Tokyo Ghoul" were sent into panic mode last week after reports claiming that the season 3 of the highly anticipated anime was canceled. However, according to the latest reports, a certain Bob, who is said to be a "Tokyo Ghoul" anime series writer, has said in an interview that there is, indeed, a season 3 for "Tokyo Ghoul" and the rumors are not true.

In fact, Bob even hinted in an interview that the upcoming season of the anime will be the goriest of all the anime's seasons as it will be uncensored. However, this is not really surprising at all as, after all, Madhouse Entertainment, the studio behind "Tokyo Ghoul," is reputed for having dark themes.

As of this writing, there is still no official word as to what the plot of "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will be. However, there is no denying that one of the most persistent plot theories about the anime series is that Ken Kaneki will lose his memory following his battle with Arima. Because of this, he will assume a different identity as Haise Sasaki.

Despite having been defeated by Arima, which resulted in his amnesia, it is said that Arima will still help Ken Kaneki regain his lost memory. However, as the two engage in a battle once more, Arima will slash his own throat. If this really happens, fans can expect that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will be gory, indeed.

Nonetheless, it is also said that before Arima breathes his last air, he instructs Ken Kaneki to claim that it is him who has killed the former so that he can earn the right to declare himself as the One-Eyed King, the king of the ghouls.

Although there is no official word yet, it is said that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will head back to the small screens within the winter months. If it really arrives in the said period, only by then can it be confirmed if the plot theories said about the anime are true or not.
