'Tokyo Ghoul' season 3 rumors: Anime to finally arrive this March?

(Facebook/Tokyo Ghoul)Rumors claim that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will finally arrive this March.

After it was expected to arrive last year, the latest reports claim that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 is finally arriving next month.

Despite its disappointing season 2, there is no denying that many are still anticipating the arrival of "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3. However, the long wait may be finally over as it is alleged that the latest installment of the anime series will arrive this March.

According to reports, the culprit behind the delay of the anime is the lack of source materials for the story of the anime. To recall, "Tokyo Ghoul" season 2 fell in the bad graces of the fans as it deviated from the story of its manga origin, prompting the fans to even launch a petition asking Madhouse Entertainment to get the rights for the anime from Pierrot Studio and reboot the entire series.

While there is no denying that rumors claiming that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 is arriving next month are nothing short of exciting, fans are advised to hold their horses for now as there is no official announcement as of yet. With March arriving soon, some can't help but wonder why no promo for "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 has been released yet if it is really to arrive soon.

What is certain, though, is that a live-action "Tokyo Ghoul" movie is slated for a release this summer in Japan. The movie is being top-billed by Masataka Kubota as he breathes life to the lead character of the manga and anime series, Ken Kaneki. In fact, other sources claim that the production of the live-action movie is the primary reason why "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 has not arrived yet.

Meanwhile, rumors claiming that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 is said to feature Ken Kaneki assuming a different identity after losing his memory have persisted. However, just like the reports saying that it will arrive next month, this alleged plot detail must be taken with a grain of salt as well for now.

Is "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 really arriving next month? Fans can only hope so.
