'Tokyo Ghoul' season 3 release date, spoilers: Ken Kaneki to be One-Eyed King

(Facebook/Tokyo Ghoul)According to rumors, "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will be faithful to its manga counterpart and will feature Ken Kaneki as the One-Eyed King.

There is still no certainty as to when "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will come out, but, this early, various rumors and speculations have surfaced as to how its story may pan out. Allegedly, Ken Kaneki will declare himself to be the One-Eyed King.

According to reports, it is possible for "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 to arrive between late 2017 and early 2018 as, allegedly, it will wait for the release of the upcoming live-action film feature of the manga series. As the movie is estimated to arrive around mid-2017, it just makes sense why fans should not expect the anime's third season to air earlier than the predicted period.

Apart from the rumored release date, there are also various speculations as to how "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 may pan out. However, rumors claiming that the upcoming season 3 of "Tokyo Ghoul" will feature Ken Kaneki as the One-Eyed King have become even more persistent.

If this will be the case, then, it can be expected that the upcoming season of "Tokyo Ghoul" will feature a rematch between Ken Kaneki and Kishou Arima, the one who beat him at the end of the previous season of "Tokyo Ghoul," as that's how things are in the recent releases of the manga counterpart of the anime series. As Ken Kaneki emerges as the victor in his rematch with Kishou Arima, he will be then proclaimed as the One-Eyed King.

There are also speculations claiming that Kishou Arima will die in the hands of Ken Kaneki, while there are those who believe that it will be the other way around. However, with Ken Kaneki being the main protagonist of the story, it is likely that it will be him who will survive in the event that the rematch between him and Kishou Arima will really result in the death of any between the two of them.

Since it is rumored that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will be faithful to its manga origins, there is a great possibility for the plot discussed earlier to become a reality. However, with no confirmation at this point in time, everything said on how the story of "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will unfold should be taken with a grain of salt for the time being.
