'Tokyo Ghoul' season 3 release date, news and updates: Kaneki's full Kakuja to be unveiled?

(Facebook/Tokyo Ghoul)Will fans finally see the full Kakuja form of Kaneki?

Ever since it was confirmed that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will happen in the near future, there have been numerous plot theories going around online and one of them is the alleged unveiling of Kaneki's full Kakuja form.

Rumor has it that Kaneki will finally reach his full Kakuja form when the next season releases, following his transformation into the "Centipede" Kakuja in the previous installment. It is further reported that the next Kakuja form that the main protagonist will take on will be that of a snake.

The "Snake" Kakuja speculations are based on the manga series, though these reports have yet to be officially confirmed by Madhouse.

Aside from the manga series' hints about the complete form of Kaneki's Kakuja, the cover of Volume 5 portrays the hero with eyes that seem to resemble that of a snake. The said pieces of evidence may sound convincing to some but it is best to take these speculations with a grain of salt until official word on the plot for "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 comes out.

Meanwhile, other reports suggest that the upcoming season will also give Touka some of the spotlight since her story wasn't given much airtime in the previous installments. She was last seen contemplating on what she wants to do for college as she is caught between three universities and cannot make a final decision yet.

As for the issue about Madhouse allegedly failing to follow through with the events in the manga series, it seems that there's still no resolution whether the hit anime will be transferred to the hands of another studio or not.

Fans previously said that Madhouse was not faithful to some of the plots in the manga version of "Tokyo Ghoul." There have been requests to get the series out of the said studio's management but it seems that Madhouse will still be in control of season 3.

"Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 is rumored to premiere sometime winter 2016.
