'Thor: Ragnarok' character news: Bruce Banner's and Hulk's personalities to merge, says Mark Ruffalo
Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo recently dropped some exciting news for the fans of the Avengers. It appears that in the upcoming "Thor: Ragnarok" film, the personalities of his characters — Bruce Banner and the Hulk — will start to merge; thus, there's the possibility that fans will see an enraged Banner or a calmer and more intelligent Hulk.

During Ruffalo's interview with Ain't It Cool, he revealed that Banner now lives in obscurity after his departure from the team following the events that happened in the movie "Avengers: Age of Ultron." He said that Banner has removed himself from humanity, which might be the reason why his two personalities are now starting to merge.
"It's very subtle, but the Banner/Hulk consciousness is beginning to meld a little bit," Ruffalo told Ain't It Cool. "Who decided to leave? Was it Banner or Hulk? It's not really in the (cinematic) mythology of Hulk up until that moment to be that conscious and pro-active. It's interesting, right?"
This type of event has already happened in the comics before, according to Cinemablend. A couple of his popular versions are The Maestro, a tyrant from the far future of an alternate universe from the comic arc "The Incredible Hulk: Future Imperfect" and Doc Green, a very intelligent version of the green giant without the destructive instincts from the comic series "Indestructible Hulk."
These are just examples of what fans might see in the third "Thor" movie but it shouldn't be taken as an accurate prediction. It is highly advisable to take these as mere speculation for the time being.
The best thing to do now is wait for the premiere of "Thor: Ragnarok," which will hit theaters on Nov. 3, 2017, and keep an eye out for further updates from Marvel.
