'Thor 3' movie plot: Jaimie Alexander's Lady Sif will have important role in next installment

The third installation of "Thor" is reportedly crucial in laying the foundation for "Avengers: Infinity War" and as such, fans are saying that Marvel should be very careful with how the studio goes about developing the movie.
"Thor: Ragnarok" will reportedly be about the Norse Gods facing a terrible threat that might result in the destruction of Asgard. The film is said to be crucial as it bridges a lot of elements necessary for fans to understand the relationship of the movies within Marvel's Cinematic Universe.
While there have been rumblings on what "Thor 3" will have in store for the God of Thunder, his brother, Loki and Heimdall, little has been said about Jaimie Alexander's Sif. However, it has been said that Lady Sif will play a pivotal role in the third and last "Thor" movie.
The 31-year-old Alexander recently admitted that her audiences will see more of Lady Sif in the next film and that, apparently, was everything that she knows so far.
"Marvel, I think on purpose, they don't tell me certain things," the "Kyle XY" actress explained. "Because they know I'll be like, 'So here's what's gonna happen.'"
But she did share that Lady Sif will play a crucial role in "Thor: Ragnarok" since she is one of Thor's most loyal and trustworthy allies and confidante. However, what that role will entail is a tightly guarded secret.
There are those that say her character's warrior background might mean she would continue to fight alongside Thor during Ragnarok or that she might sacrifice herself during the battle. Other rumors have Sif surviving Ragnarok and appearing in "Avengers: Infinity War."
Despite her claim that the head honchos of Marvel do not tell her much, Alexander did admit that "Thor 3" is connected to Marvel's other ongoing projects like "Captain America: Civil War" and "Avengers: Infinity War" and advised fans to look for the Easter eggs that will be incorporated in those movies.
"Thor: Ragnarok" is slated to hit theaters in November 2017.
