"The Vampire Diaries" had to forego their favorite supernatural drama this week because of Thanksgiving. But fans will be thankful that they did as the series will return with an episode that might turn the show on its head.

A synopsis on the "Carter Matt" site gives viewers a hint as to the craziness that's ahead in episode eight when Julian (Todd Lasance) and Lily (Annie Wersching) celebrate Nora (Scarlett Byrne) and Mary Louise's (Teressa Liane) anniversary by throwing a big party. The Salvatore brothers will also begin their plan to destroy the threat created by their step-father.

The upcoming episode will also see Stefan (Paul Wesley) learning about Caroline's (Candice Accola-King) pregnancy, which will undoubtedly affect their relationship and might be the reason for her being with Alaric (Matt Davis) in the future, a twist that Steroline shippers are obviously not happy about.

The trailer for episode eight, titled "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me," starts with Caroline and Stefan, sitting together. She tells Stefan that she's pregnant and when he remained silent, prompts him to say something. He tells her he has to go, much to her surprise.

The next scene shows that the heretics are throwing a "murder party," so called because amidst the dancing and revelry, they can be seen feasting on their guests. There's also a shot of Stefan being mocked for bringing a knife to a gun fight and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) being attacked and later, chained to a chair.

One scene shows Julian, Lily, the tied up Damon and several heretics together. Julian tells Lily she has to choose one and she appears shocked. Damon tells the others to "get this over with" and in the final scene, tells his mother to kill him.

There are undoubtedly so many questions running through the minds of fans now, particularly with the Steroline love story. But while Caroline's pregnancy might hurt her relationship with Stefan now, there might still be hope in the future. An "Entertainment Weekly" report advised fans not to give up on the couple yet as they might see that "everything isn't perfect" between Caroline and Alaric in the future.

Episode eight of "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 will be aired on Dec. 3 on The CW.
