'Walking Dead' season 7 release date, plot spoilers: Negan and Carl to form a special bond?

"The Walking Dead" has successfully built the hype for the ultimate baddie this season – Negan, portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Fans are about to see how the villain will ignite fear among the Alexandria group members and what evil awaits them with the Saviors' leader arriving.
While it remains to be seen who among the core characters will get the brutal treatment from Negan, fans may need to be prepared for his presence as rumor has it that he'll be sticking around for a while.
Negan will be introduced to the show in the same way as the comics – with him meeting Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) group and killing one of them with his beloved weapon of choice, a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire which he calls Lucille. In the comics, Glenn (Steven Yeun) was the victim, but showrunner Scott Gimple already promised that the show will somehow divert from the original story.
Nevertheless, fans are also looking forward to this mysteriously evil character, since he was described by comic creator Robert Kirkman as "kind" and "respectful," but at the same time, "psychotic," during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Viewers are more excited to see the other side of this brutal character as The Inquisitr reported that he formed a bond with Rick's son, Carl (Chandler Riggs).
If the show will stay true to some elements found in the comics, it's likely that Negan will take some interest in Carl, because in the comics, he is said to see a young version of himself in the boy.
There's just a lot of things to look forward to in "The Walking Dead." The final episode for the current season airs tonight on AMC at 9 p.m. EST and fans can't wait to know what's to come.
Meanwhile, "The Walking Dead" was already given the green light for season 7 back in October 2015. After tonight's finale, fans will have to wait a little longer to recover from the effects of Negan's arrival, since season 7 is slated to be released in October this year.
