'The Voice' season 10 results: Top 12 revealed
It's time to know if America's votes got it right as the Top 12 for "The Voice" season 10 is revealed. While the show aims to discover singers with celebrity appeal, and all 24 contestants have proven they all deserve a shot at the title, elimination is an inevitable process in the competition.
On Monday, Team Christina and Team Blake took the stage to prove to America that they deserve to be voted. Tuesday was Team Adam's and Team Pharrell's turn to sing in hopes of garnering enough votes to proceed to the next round.
Only three members per team will move on to perform next week. Two members will be based on the highest votes earned, and one member will be chosen by their respective coaches.
The evening started with Team Pharrell's performance of "Don't You Worry Child" by Swedish House Mafia. The votes revealed that America agreed with his comeback artist of choice when Daniel Passino made it with Hannah Huston. He chose Emily Keener to complete his team.
Team Blake was up next and performed "Hey Brother" by Avicii before results were announced. America chose country singers Adam Wakefield and Mary Sarah, while Blake favored Paxton Ingram to continue on.
Team Christina gave a powerful performance of "Stars" by Grace Potter and The Nocturnals before they were cut in half. Former child star Alisan Porter and comeback artist Nick Hagelin won the poll. Christina had a hard time choosing but eventually picked Bryan Bautista to join the two.
To complete the 12, Team Adam sang "Your Song" by Elton John and the last three to continue on was revealed. Shalyah Fearing and Laith Al-saadi captured the voters' fancy and Owen Danoff was revealed to be Adam's choice.
Did the vote results reflect America's choice? Did America agree with each coach's choice of contestant? The show goes on whether or not it does.
Catch the next performances on "The Voice," which airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
